W. Thomas (Tom) Curtis is a Certified Financial Planner ™ and an Enrolled Agent (EA) with the Internal Revenue Service and the US Tax Court. He is a Life Fellow of the Financial Planning Association.
Tom has appeared nationally on NBC Nightly News and locally on the Fox affiliate, CBS affiliate and ABC affiliate. In addition, he has been quoted in the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Christian Science Monitor, the Wall Street Journal, ABC News online and other publications. He has written numerous financial planning and tax articles which have appeared in the Free State Accountant, a publication of the Maryland Society of Accountants.
Tom was appointed by the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service to serve on the committee for the National Performance Review, which established the standards for the computerization of tax and wage reporting.
Tom has served as the Dean of the Financial Planning Association’s Mid-Atlantic Retreats, and as Treasurer of the National Capital Area chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
In addition to many prior civic activities, in 2015 Tom was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Maryland Public Television Foundation. He is a board member and the current President, Diamond Farms Office Park Condominium.
Tom spends his time between his homes in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and Rockville, Maryland. He has a BA in Economics and Accounting and an MS in Information Systems from the George Washington University

Susan Robertson
Executive Associate
Susan joined the FSP and Associates team in January 2008 as an Executive Associate. She brings over 20 years experience in sales, marketing, finance, and client relations.
She most recently was employed in the mortgage loan industry for 6 years, and served as President of a local chapter of the BNI networking group. She was previously employed by MCI for 15 years, where she was a product marketing and development manager, and provided product support to the corporate sales teams.
Susan has overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the office and is the primary contact for client support. She plays an integral role in client communications and relations, and the processing of client tax materials and supporting documents. She is also a licensed Notary Public for the State of Maryland.

Mary Ann Aellen, CPA
Tax Accountant
Mary Ann has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Loyola University Maryland.
She spent eight years with KPMG in their Baltimore office. She left there as a Senior Manager in the Audit department. She also worked in regulation of savings and loans at the office of Thrift Supervision in Washington, DC. Mary Ann also held the position of Assistant Comptroller at Citizens Savings Bank and comptroller of Fastrack Training in Columbia, MD.
Mary Ann has been associated with FSP since 2009 and has considerable expertise in Quickbooks as a Quickbooks Pro Advisor..
